Looking For An Easy Way to Process Rider Refunds ? With STRIDER you’re always 100% in control of your activity proceeds.
Money is immediately deposited in the accounts you specify whenever you collect funds via StriderPay™.
Note: The account owner must issue the refund themselves…STRIDER™ does not have the log-in information for your PayPal account.
How much does the rider get back? They will receive their entry fee returned but not their PayPal or Strider processing fees.
COVID-19 UPDATE | Credit Card processing fees are not being refunded due to the overwhelming surge in refund requests across all industries. This is a decision at the Visa/Mastercard level and applies to transactions through Square, Stripe, PayPal, etc. If you are going to allow refunds, we recommend you set an Office Processing fee of at least 10% of entry to cover your labor costs and manage rider expectations properly. It’s the same thing as a “restocking fee” in retail]
Here’s how to get a refund done:
Inside your STRIDER Organizer corner, go to the Activity you want to issue a refund for. Run a “Long Report”.
That tells you the date/time/sender email address from the payment came thru on Paypal. (Their entry time IS their payment time.)
1. Log Into Your PayPal Account
–Click <More> Link
2. Find The Transaction Date/Name You Wish to Refund.
–Click the Refund down Arrow
3. Select & Click “Refund.”
The Rider/Auditor will receive funds on the card used. It’s that simple!
